As the saying goes "there is no place like home", it is wonderful to know that you can go into your own home garden and pot around all day if you wanted to. You can release your tensions and get rid of stresses of the day , in your own home garden while tending to your valuable plants, trees, shrubs and or lawn. Gardening is said to be very therapeutic. You don't need to be the best horticulturist on the block either to start your own home garden from scratch. Your home garden should be a pleasure to spend time in, not a space of slavery.
If you have no home garden yet wherever you live, you can create one. With time and patience a lot can be achieved. A bit of money and some friends could help too, to minimize your bill, depending on what you wish to achieve. For the first part, get hold of you friends that do have their own gardens, and see what works in their gardens for them. Some of the plants that you may like in their home garden could be propagated for your garden. This way you save on lots of money, but patience is required.
The Way To Begin A Home Garden
Since you might not think you have the ability or knowledge to achieve what you think you want, you could start with just thinking about a theme, your lifestyle and personality, or the function of the garden, or even just the colour would do. By these points, many more can be achieved. Having a bit of knowledge would help and you could always check with the nursery what could be placed where and what soil is required for what. They definitely are very helpful as they could tell you, which plants also don’t grow with others to avoid some plants dying off, and wasting money.
The stores are flooded with home and garden décor, so if you are stuck with a plant that you like and don't know quite what to do with, go look to see if there are pots or other ideas that you could do with the plant, and if you can’t do anything with it donate it to someone who can. There is seious need of more greenery in this world.
In case if you have a small home garden then it is a quite easier to manage it, as it is likely having no lawn just troughs and pots. For a home garden which is big, much more time and attention is needed to go into it, as everything does not require attention continuously, you would need to keep a hand on that as it could begin to look tatty.
